Baseballs:
**Justin Verlander- He was dominating the Indians again, but again, at this point, who hasn't? He worked 7 innings, giving up 2 runs (2 earned), he walked 2, struck out 11 and now has a 3.41 ERA.
**Carlos Guillen- Oh, good gravy, can't the Indians get this guy out? He went 3-3 with a walk, he drove in his 39th RBI of the year and hit a double. Carlos is now hitting .255.
**Brandon Inge- Brandon finished the night 2-5 with a double, he drove in his 79th RBI and is hitting .234.
**Gerald Laird- Gerald went 1-3 with a sacrifice bunt, he drove in his 32nd RBIs and is hitting .227.
**Magglio Ordonez- Maggs went 1-3 with a walk and he is hitting .295.
**Ramon Santiago- Ramon went 1-3 with his 31st RBI and he walked. Ramon is now hitting .267.
**Aubrey Huff- Aubrey finished the night 1-4 with a walk, he is hitting .245.
**Placido Polanco- Placido finished the night 1-4 with a walk, he is hitting .284.
**Brandon Lyon- Brandon threw a scoreless 8th inning, his 15th hold and he has a 2.90 ERA.
**Travis Hafner- Travis finished the night 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, he drove in his 46th run of the year and is now hitting .270. Can he drive in 50 by the end of the season?
**Andy Marte- Andy is taking advantage again of his playing time. He went 2-4 and is hitting .242.
**Shin-Soo Choo- Choo went 2-5 and he hit his 17th Home Run of the year, a 2 run shot, giving him 81 RBIs. Choo is hitting .304.
**Michael Brantley- Michael went 2-5, he drove in 2 runs, giving him 9 RBIs, he also stole his 4th base and is hitting .337.
**Luis Valbuena- Luis went 1-3 with a walk and is hitting .235.
**Kerry Wood- Threw a scoreless 9th inning, he walked 1, struck out 2 and now has a 4.15 ERA.
1/2 Baseball, 1/2 Goofball:
**Carlos Carrasco- He wasn't that bad, he gave up 4 runs (4 earned) in 5 innings. He walked 3, didn't strike out anyout out and now has a 9.00 ERA.
**Jensen Lewis- Jensen threw 1 2/3 innings, he gave up 1 run ( 1 earned), he didn't walk anyone, struck out 2 and now has a 4.30 ERA.
**Chris Perez- Chris threw 1 2/3 innings, he gave up 1 run (1 earned), he has a 4.42 ERA.
Goofballs:
**Indians Offense- They still struck out 11 men and left 9 men on base.
**Tony Sipp- He couldn't get the hitters he faced out. He walked 1, and gave up a hit. Unfornately, he didn't give up another run. He has a 3.13 ERA.
**Luis Valbuena- Committed his 11th error of the season.
**Bobby Seay- Bobby didn't retire anyone, he gave up 1 run (1 earned) in 0 innings. Bobby now has a 3.88 ERA.
**Fernando Rodney- I can't see him being a successful closer in the postseason. Maybe I am wrong, but everytime I see Rodney pitch, he has trouble. He gave up 2 runs (2 earned), he walked 1, didn't strike anyone out and still did enough to get his 35th save. Now Rodney has a 3.97 ERA.

On Deck:
Well, look at it like this, Friday night and Saturday night could be historic, the Indians all time franchise record is 12 straight losses. They are at 11 right now. At least they fought tonight, for a split second I thoughtthey were going to win, but reality set in very quickly. Baltimore comes in for a 3 game series, Friday night's game starts at 7:05 PM, airing on STO with Indians On Deck at 6:30 PM. David Hernandez (4-8, 5.34), he will be opposed by Fausto Carmona (3-12, 6.81). The game will air on WTAM 1100-AM, let's get some wins. |
